Panasonic’s KAIROS live video production platform is at the heart of The UK Church Sound & Media Summit, showcasing the latest in broadcast technology.
Bracknell, UK. 20th March 2024 – Panasonic Connect Europe will return to The Church Sound & Media Summit 2024 on 27-28th September, with its KAIROS live video IT/IP production platform and PTZ cameras positioned at the heart of the event’s production. This interactive experience will enable places of worship and churches to better understand how to utilise the latest technology in their productions.
A pioneering event, The Church Sound & Media Summit has been running in the UK since 2018 and serves as the nexus for church leaders, sound engineers, and media teams to gain hands-on experience and training on the latest sound and media technology. The event combines elements of a traditional exhibition with a training programme and a networking opportunity, fostering innovation and collaboration within the community.
At the 2023 event, Panasonic, alongside the event production team, played a central role, demonstrating the flexibility of KAIROS, the capabilities of Panasonic PTZ cameras, and the PanaPod Elevation System, providing real-time insights and in-depth, hands-on training on the latest equipment.
The KAIROS IT/IP platform is an innovative live video production system. It utilises proprietary software to optimise CPU and GPU capacities for video processing, addressing the evolving needs of live video production, it also enhances the sense of reality by facilitating remote live video production and streaming. KAIROS enables functional enhancements and control linkage with external devices through added software. Its system integration capability enhances work efficiency and ensures future expandability.
Panasonic also demonstrated its market-leading AW-UE150, AW-UE100, and AW-UE80 PTZ cameras, equipped with auto tracking and set presets, complemented by its AW-RP150GJ remote camera controller.
“Having KAIROS in the middle of the audience allowed the engineers to see the system in use in real time. Also having Panasonic provide in-depth training on KAIROS, alongside information on how to set up production, including camera setup, capturing the correct shots, and spacing, all provided amazing insight into the areas that our Summit attendees need to think about when looking to create future productions,” said Dan Bowater, Founder of The Church Sound & Media Summit.
