Upcoming 2025.2 Release

Limecraft is pleased to announce the second in a series of eight planned updates this year, scheduled to be rolled out next week Tuesday March 25th. This is a very solid update, featuring Summarisation, extending Delivery Workspaces by assigned tasks, improveing sharing and commenting, introducing user preferences and configurable hotkeys, and providing support for Canon Cinema RAW.

Summarisation

As part of it’s continued effort to improve the usability of Artificial Intelligence for professional use, referred to as Media Intelligence, this release by Limecraft introduces the concept of ‘Summarisation’. Summarisation creates a summary of the clip as a whole, as well as a title, a short description, and a number of topics for each chapter or sub-clip. Summarisation massively improves the efficiency whereby Journalists, Researchers and Edit Producers can identify the right fragments in large collections.

Summarisation is included as part of Limecraft’s premium transcription service. Please note that it is available as of next week in private beta, and therefore must be activated by Limecraft support staff. If you are interested to give it a try, you can let Limecraft know by sending them an email to [email protected].

Delivery Workspaces, now allowing you to assign deliverables and review tasks to specific individuals or groups

As of the 2025.2 release, it will be possible to assign delivery request to a particular user or role (that is expected to fulfil the request). Similarly, it is also possible to set the reviewer of a request to a particular user or role (that is supposed to perform the review).

Extending Sharing and Review – Anonymisation of Comments, Adding Share and Download Functions

This release also marks important improvements of the Review and Verification functions. First and foremost, taking into account the multi-tenant nature of any collaborative environment, it is now possible to mask comments from identification, referred to as anonymisation of comments.

Besides anonymisation of comments, the window of a shared collection now has extra functions to re-share the collection, or to download the media in the collection.

Webinar

Following the release, Limecraft will also be organising a live webinar to demonstrate the highlights on March 27th at 2pm (CEST). If you would like to register, please click the link here.
